The Electric Motion ESCAPE “R” is the ultimate mixture of trial and trail. It’s a combination of all our best parts, and when we add in it’s low eco-footprint and almost-silent operation, the gas-powered competition can’t even come close.
The most exciting feature of the ESCAPE “R” is its full-functioning Hydraulic Diaphragm Clutch. Just like a gas bike, the clutch system on ESCAPE “R”lets the rider perfectly modulate the power; it is truly game-changing.
Add in the Hi-Capcity Battery and the seat, and you have a bike that can delivery hours of fun, performance, and comfort. A significant new safety feature for 2023, all Electric Motion models now feature our Anti-Reverse system. Anti-Reverse keeps the bike from rolling away in the event that the the rider fails a steep ascent. At speeds from 0 to 3mph, the rider can instantly lock the back wheel by pushing the grey FRB button. For 2023, EM further improved last year’s new control switch by moving swapping the position of the Map and FRB buttons to improve the ergonomics and make FRB easier to use.
On ESCAPE “R”, the Fixed Regenerative Braking system is activated by pushing the grey button on the bottom of the control switch. Pressing the grey FRB button is now easier to do while riding, and when pressed it applies an engine brake force depending of the speed of the rear wheel.
The map button is now on the top of the switch and allows the rider to switch between maps. The LED at the center displays a color that corresponds with the current map selection.
Speaking of maps, ESCAPE “R” has 6 total maps for 2023. All of them have been improved upon for the new model year, and TKO is now available on the Green Map:

Blue = Medium power
Red = High/Full Power

With a simple flick of the switch, the rider can enable Tick Over, which enables an “idle” mode that turns the motor at a constant, sustained RPM without the throttle being turned. With TKO mode enabled, the bike gains additional precision in acceleration and traction, allowing the rider better control of the power at low revs.The 50.4 volt electric motor is the heart of the ESCAPE “R”. Providing great torque, responsive power, and near-silent operation, this motor is ready to deliver countless hours of trouble-free Trials enjoyment.ESCAPE “R” features the latest TECH ALUMINUM RACING front fork. The industry-standard for reliability and function, the new TECH fork offers the ESCAPE “R” model enhanced front-end traction and increased performance. They are supple enough to glide over roots and rocky stream beds, yet they provide plenty of pop to unload over big obstacles and are able to soak up big drops.We have integrated the new LED headlight into an all new, sleek & lightweight headlight shell.
The blue color of the triple clamp makes the already attractive ESCAPE “R” even more striking!An optional PRB “R” lever is available on the ESCAPE “R”that allows for the integration of EM’s Progressive Regenerative Braking system with the hydraulic clutch.
